There’s now an Irish food truck in town. Kierion Go Bragh , which is owned and operated by Christine Finnegan and her two sons Tristan and Keegan, rolled out in October. The menu includes traditional Irish fare like corned beef, cabbage and shepherd’s pie.Full Story
Mad Grill, which has been driving around for a few months, has found a parking spot at Klyde Warren Park. The food truck is a new concept from Tenielle Powers, the owner/operator of Crazy Fish Sushi and Mr. Snowie. Tenieele pitches Mad Grill as: “Fusion with influences from all over Asia. (Japanese, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian.) … a menu with twists from experiences living in Asia, dishes which would not fit with the theme of Crazy Fish. “Full Story
The annual Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas Buddy Walk is taking place this Sunday, November 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at AT&T Victory Plaza. The purpose of the walk is to help promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. The Buddy Walk is a national event with more than 275 walks nationwide. Dallas’ Buddy Walk has grown from a few hundred people to over 10,000 estimated for this coming Sunday. This is the time of year when schools do fundraisers, and they’ve learned that they can increase attendance and make it a more fun event with food trucks. This coming weekend, you’ll see fall festival events at schools across the city: Brentfield, Moss Haven, Indian Creek, Butler, and Hedgecox Elementary schools, as well as Gulledge School, Whitt School, and Parish Episcopal. Take note of the group: Easy Slider, Ruthies, Flatlanders, Nammi, and Pompeii DFW. The only way it could have been better is if The Butcher’s Son, Guava Tree, and Cajun Tailgators showed up. Then it would have, without a doubt,included all of the top rated food trucks in Dallas. There are a few from Fort Worth that occasionally come down to see us (SoCal Tacos, Good Karma Kitchen).
