Central Market Goes Shark Tank: Four Mark Cuban Investment Products to Hit the Shelves Soon

I was once skeptical of the show Shark Tank. I figured it was all rigged and both the investors and entrepreneurs were well-coached and rehearsed. On a whim, I asked Mark Cuban if he would let me shadow him during a taping.He said yes and I wrote this. I have a newfound respect for the show and even more appreciation for how hard Mark Cuban works and how much time he puts toward his Shark Tank investments.

Today Central Market announced Mark Cuban will introduce the products of four of his food entrepreneurs to the shelves of all Central Market locations. The products include Alyssa’s Healthy Cookie, Chapul, Monkey Mat, and Simple Sugars. All four new products will be sold at all Central Market store locations.

Want a sample a bite straight from the shark’s hand? On Thursday, August 28, Mark Cuban will be passing out samples and demoing products. Well, maybe not Mark, but maybe Dirk. (I made that up.) Here are the times and dates.

11 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Product demos with Mark Cuban

Central Market-SOUTHLAKE (1425 E Southlake Blvd, Southlake, TX 76092)
2 – 4:00 p.m.: Product demos with Mark Cuban

Central Market-FORT WORTH (4651 West Freeway, Fort Worth, TX 76107)
5 – 7:00 p.m.: Product demos with Mark Cuban

  1. Nice for Mr Cuban to get these companies into a major gourmet retailer for them. In my opinion, most (not all) of the food products on Shark Tank are severely overpriced and probably cannot get into major mainstream retail on their own. Kudos to them for riding the wave and I hope for their sake they sell through enough to keep that placement Mr. Cuban has worked so hard to get them. No doubt they’ll all get multiple re-airings on ABC as the show seems to plug the same entrepreneurs time and time again…even if the update segment is fabricated. For all those start up food manufacturers grinding it out every day to EARN placement in retailers 100% on their own merit, I applaud them the most and that’s who I’ll support the most.
