Cucina Neighborhood Italian to Open in Former Mi Piaci Space in Preston Center

Whitney Filloon at EaterDallas reports the recently shuttered Mi Piaci space in Preston Center is reopening as Cucina Neighborhood Italian. Filloon has pictures of the menu which is posted in the front window and reveals there are ads on Craigslist for front of the house staff.

The long saga of Mi Piaci ended on April 18, 2014 when owner Brian Black was locked out of the space for failing to pay rent. Perhaps the landlord decided to take advantage of the fabulous finish out and make a go of it.

  1. It has always fascinated me when a beautifully finished restaurant is gutted to the studs for the next restaurant. Maybe the theme doesn’t match, maybe they want to exorcise the demons of bad food & service. Just a shame to see good work torn down. Glad they kept it in this instance.

  2. Interesting line caught Atlantic Salmon – are they going to the farms and throwing lines with hooks in instead of nets….
