Bits & Bites: Things to Do and Chew in Dallas, April 25-27

If I were you, I would take a look at Saturday’s event: a chocolate bus tour. Who wouldn’t want to tour Dallas to sample chocolate for four hours?

FRIDAY

Brisket and wine. It’s happening. The Wine Poste is hosting a wine dinner featuring Pecan Lodge and Rhone Valley Varietals tonight, Friday from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Six handpicked wines will be at your beck and call along with ½-lb portions of brisket and the fixings. Buy your tickets online. $30 per person

Buy your tickets for tonight’s Westin Galleria Dallas’ fourth annual Bonne Santé to benefit the National Kidney Foundation at 6:30 p.m. Top chefs all from all around Dallas will be preparing their signature dishes specially paired with fine wines. The benefit will also be hosting silent and live auctions, live music, and extravagant prizes. $200 per person

SATURDAY

There are only so many tour busses you can go on before you feel like the ultimate tourist, but what if I told you that there was a chocolate tour? That’s right, Dallas by Chocolate is presenting the “To Chocolate Heaven and Back” tour this Saturday from 1 to 4:15 p.m. Stop by Dude, Sweet Chocolate, Mozzarella Company (cheese and chocolate pairing), Chocolate Secrets, and other chocolate extravaganzas. Generous samples and beverages will be provided. Book your tickets today to be part of the chocolate tour. $39 per person

SUNDAY

I don’t know about you, but Sundays are my Bloody Mary days. Check out Chic Sundays at Lounge 31 for their DIY Bloody Mary bar, Bloody Mary bar-cart bottle service, and half price bottles of champagne. Your Sundays just got a whole lot fancier. Thank you Lounge 31.
