A British gal living in Brooklyn is visiting Dallas over the weekend. Her furry best friend needs your help!

I have a well-mannered pup (Stella) I want to bring to brunch this Sunday. She won’t mind if she’s the only four-legged girl there, but having other dogs around is a big plus. What are your favorite dog-friendly restaurants?

  1. Dotti is so cute! She would love Mutts Canine Cantina, located in Uptown Dallas at 2889 Cityplace West Blvd. We have a huge dog friendly patio, a large & small dog park for Mutts members where Dotti can meet some new four legged friends while you sip on a margarita. We have burgers, hot dogs, shakes + a full bar. We also have Doggie Desserts and Doggie Dogs for good pups! We can set you up with a day pass! http://www.muttscantina.com

  2. Whiskey Cake in Plano. They have a fantastic brunch and a dog friendly patio. They open at 10:00 am and fill up fast. If you don’t want to wait get there by 10:30 am. Common Table in Uptown is another excellent choice. They have a great brunch and dog friendly patio. Mutt’s is good too but I would not consider it traditional “brunch”, though your dog would meet a lot of other dogs. Urban Taco Uptown, I think they allow dogs. They have a good brunch too.

  3. Dream Cafe in the Quadrangle always has lots of dogs on the patio for brunch. Also, Lee Harvey’s has dog day on Sunday, but doesn’t open until 1pm.

  4. Mario’s on Lemmon has a dog-friendly patio if you’re looking for El Salvadoran/Mexican/Tex-Mex.

  5. Dog about Town (https://www.facebook.com/dogabouttown), a writer for Dallas Morning News, keeps a list of all the dog friendly places in DFW. You can find it with the following link…

It’s updated weekly with new additions and closures so it’s very accurate.

Personally, for brunch with out four legged friends we love Anvil Pub in deep ellum. I have dreams about their shrimp and grits. We also love Cane Rosso! For a more traditional brunch, Bread Winners is always amazing but can get very busy so get their early.

  7. Bolsa (enclosed patio), Ten Bells Tavern(covered patio), Boulivardier, Oddfellows, basically anywhere in Oak Cliff.

  8. Those are all great suggestions. A few more: Savor in Klyde Warren Park, Chicken Scratch, the Lot, Ellen’s Southern Kitchen and any of the Trinity Groves restaurants. We hope you have a nice visit!
