Making Dallas Even Better

Somebody Help This Poor Girl: Quiet Patios in Dallas

She’s been around Dallas for years, but claims she doesn’t get out much anymore. Tomorrow’s weather coupled with a special occasion creates a need for information.

Nancy, my husband and I are celebrating our 4oth anniversary tomorrow. I would like for him to take me someplace nice, but I find most restaurants too loud. Is there a new place with a nice outdoor area where we can sit and perhaps carry on a conversation? We are in our mid-60s and stay away from the trendy places.

    Rise is a great suggestion.

None of these are new but might have quiet patios.

I third the Rise No 1 recommendation! Would add Mot Hai Ba if you like Viet food.

Not a new place, but Dakota’s downtown fits the bill.

  • 3rdDegree

Palapas on lower greenville but not the greatest views

  • JtB

Not new, but the Grape outside.

Lekka . . . near Preston Road and Frankford . . . Austin-cool vibe on the patio, cool adjacent shop and great funky live music…
