Blue Bell Releases New ‘I ♥ Chocolate Ice Cream’ Flavor Just in Time for Valentine’s Day

In Texas, we heart Blue Bell just as much as Floridians love their Publix-brand ice cream. And for a V-Day grinch like me, a gal who has the pleasure of assembling a very long list of places to dine out on February 14, there’s really no joy in all this lovey-dovey frou frou.

But if Valentine’s inspires super-chocolate-desserts like Blue Bell’s newest flavor, I can definitely get on board. The ‘I ♥ Chocolate Ice Cream’ flavor is a game-changer. It’s a silly name, but we can certainly look past that. Can’t hold it against our beloved Texas brand, can we? All I can think about now is its milk chocolate ice cream with “dark chocolate-filled chocolate hearts, chocolate-coated cake pieces and a chocolate icing swirl.”

Holy cow.

Got a pint last night. It’s very good, but rich.

After reading your post, I went out a search and found it last night at Kroger. It was so amazingly good! Getting over 2 wisdom teeth extractions, so the flavor was not too sweet. No such thing as too much chocolate!

Sounds like my pregnant wife will like this

I agree with Carol. The name is almost as silly as D Magazine.

I assume it will be seasonal. I never understood why chocolate chip is seasonal.

Blue Bell: How about a chocolate-orange ice cream? That would be a giant gallon of awesomeness!

    Hey now.

    And I love it

My all time favorite Blue Bell flavor is still Triple Chocolate: Dutch chocolate, milk chocolate & homemade vanilla ice creams swirled together with chocolate sundae sauce. The runner up would have to be Banana Pudding.

My son brought me a pint and it lasted me 2 days. It was that rich. But oh so scrumptious.
