Somebody Help This Poor Girl: Restaurant for a Holiday Party in Dallas

Holiday party planning is in full swing. Here is just one of the three pleas I’ve received for advice on where to swing in December:

Can you pose this question to your readers?  I need ideas for a holiday party for our company — approximately 130 people.  Last year we had it at 3 Forks and it was great but we don’t want to spend quite that much.  Ideally we’d like to it to be at a restaurant in the North Dallas area.  Help!

  1. Crossroads Diner is available in the evenings for Holiday parties, wedding rehearsals and other exclusive events.
Please call 214-346-3491 and ask to speak with Karen, Tom or Sara

  2. Won’t work for this event, but Max’s Wine Dive in Uptown has a great room in the back that seats 40-50 people – awesome food and wine, too.

  3. Sevy’s Grill. Centrally located at Preston and Northwest Highway. Call 214-265-7389, party planners waiting to help your event be wonderful. Ask for Hillary or Frank. Menus online at http://www.sevys.com, or we can customize a fixed price menu just for your event.

  4. Times Ten Cellars is great for that size party, but it’s in Lakewood and you would need to have the food catered (which they would be happy to help you with).

  5. The People’s Last Stand can accommodate a group that size. Our holiday party packages include complimentary appetizers and a custom cocktail menu for your event. In addition, guests can play their own music and select the films played on the TV’s for the evening. Please reach out to us at plsdallas@gmail.com for more information.

  6. Sevy’s also does off-site catering, if you decide on having it at a non-food venue. We make it easy.

  7. We recently went to the Wine Poste for a Cafe Momentum Dinner. It is a beautiful space and would easily accomodate that number of guests. You would have to cater, but they have a nice kitchen setup in the back. Sevy’s would be a great call for that.

  8. The Wine Poste in the Design District has just released their holiday event packages. We offer an awesome and private interior event space, excellent wine selections and first-rate catering with Bolsa or Kent Rathbun. Check the website at: http://www.wineposte.com or call 214-272-3221 and speak with James.

  9. KB Event Venue is a beautiful full service restaurant with bar, patio with a fireplace and plenty of parking. Food is by Kent Rathbun Catering. http://www.kentrathbun.com/catering/locations.php?location_id=16. We also have multiple venues we can cater. Call Jamie 214-619-3557. Abacus on McKinney Ave can also hold 130 ppl, but not far north. Jasper’s in Plano can hold 50 in the private room. Hope to be able to host your group.
