Ever since Alice Laussade, the Dallas Observer’s Cheap Bastard, painted the town with glitter, Meat Fight became one of the most Twittered-about events all year. All her signs were done in glitter last year, and I’ll bet you anything she’s got something new up her sleeve for this one. Maybe animal stickers.

Anyway, Meat Fight is Dallas’ biggest and craziest barbecue competition taking place at Four Corners Brewery on Sunday, November 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. It’s $75 for a general admission ticket and $125 to be a Very Important Person. Proceeds benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Whatddya get as a VIP? An hour to scout the competition before all the gen ads walk in, first in line for the tasting portion, and so much SWAG. But there’s a live auction, a face beard competition, and good eats from Hypnotic Donuts and Garden Cafe for everyone. Take a look at all these pretty people participating after the jump:

  1. That brisket that Eric Hanson cooked last year was amazing. Glad to see it won…. Even though he didn’t get the credit for it. Some jackhole did instead. Sad thing is he slept the night away while Hanson cooked it and prepared it.

  2. It’s amazing how someone can take credit for other peoples work. Oh yeah I guess you learn that when you “burn bridges”…
