Texas sure does love it some steak and burgers. The mere mention of those two words is probably making some of y’all salivate already.
Moneymaker and restaurateur Dee Lincoln (previous co-founder of Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House and owner of Dee Lincoln’s Tasting Room & Bubble Bar) has set her sights on combining two of Texas’ great loves into one restaurant concept. Hence, her Steak & Burger Bar at 2626 Howell Street. This is the same exact space where JoJo Eating House & Bar recently fizzled out and failed.
But Dee Lincoln’s a smartie.
The press release says that “Dee Lincoln Steak & Burger Bar will offer a menu of core starters with a creative approach, 8-10 unique burgers, three cuts of steaks, daily blackboard features of a butchers cut and fresh catch of the day, 100 wines under $100 (which will include a small selection of the best available in Texas), local beer and a craft cocktail program showcasing Texas spirits. Lincoln is still carefully selecting all other purveyors, but has chosen family-owned Lone Star Foodservice in Austin to provide the butchers cuts from both Beeman Family Ranch and Windy Bar Ranch.”
The restaurant should open sometime in September.
