According to Frankie’s Sports Bar and Grill‘s website, the 13-year-old establishment is closed for good. The bar, named after investor/co-owner Frank Carabetta, got off to a rocky start back in 2000, but survived more than its share of ups and downs. Even though the Uptown location couldn’t come to an agreement with the landlord, the current owners of Frankie’s plan to open inside a new location in Uptown. See the goodbye letter below.
It is with deep regret we announce the closing of
Frankie’s Sports Bar and Grill’s
Uptown Dallas location.
To our loyal patrons: Thank you for your love and support throughout the past years. We consider you so much more than customers. Whether rooting for your favorite team or coming in for food and drinks, you never made Frankie’s seem like a business. It was you always like friends stopping by the house. You have our undying gratitude.
To our loyal staff: You WERE Frankie’s. Every bar sells beer, you guys were the backbone of Frankie’s and made us the Uptown Institution we were. We thank you for your professionalism and dedication to customer service. Frankie’s succeeded because of you. No matter where you go, we know each and every one of you will be successful. Godspeed.
To our loyal vendors: Thank you all for your service and support. You were always there when we needed you. We look forward to the time when we will rekindle our relationship.
After thirteen great years at the corner of McKinney Avenue and Hall Street, we sure hate to leave, but it is time to move on to bigger and better things. If you need to reach us for anything, you can always email us at Info@FrankiesBar.com. Or better yet, come visit us at one of our other locations in Lewisville or Downtown Fort Worth. Keep an eye on our website at www.FrankiesBar.com and watch for the new and improved Frankie’s coming to Uptown in 2014!
