Fuqua Winery. Two nights: Texas Olive Oil, Balsamic Vinegar &Wine Tasting. Yes for only $25, tonight and tomorrow at 7PM, Karen Henry, owner of Texas Olive Ranch in Carrizo Springs will teach you all about the different kinds of flavored olive oils and the art of blending the oils with flavored balsamic vinegars. Tei-An Soba House. Chef Teiichi Sakurai has planned a five-course dinner to pair with select Coquerel wines from Coquerel Family Wine Estates on Thursday, April 18 at 7:30PM. Coquerel Wines’ winemaker, Christine Barbe, will be there. Tickets for the dinner are $150 per person, excluding tax and gratuity, and may be purchased in advance by calling Tei-An at 214-220-2828. Seating is extremely limited. The event is expected to sell out, and reservations are required.
The Wine Poste. On Friday, April 12th, the Wine Poste, the Design District’s new wine store, will host a tasting of the new 2011 releases from renowned California Pinot Noir producers, Anthill Farms. Each year, the winery releases an extremely limited batch of its wines, and the Wine Poste has secured the majority the Texas allocation. In addition to tasting the lineup of these highly-rated and typically hard-to-find wines, attendees will be able to purchase bottles to take home or to enjoy in the comfort of our lounge.
