Find a back issue

Went to TJ’s on Oak Lawn on Tuesday night – got there around 8pm and placed a to go order of fish tacos and a crab roll. We waited for 45 minutes for our to go order. Food was very good – and will probably go back – but wait time seemed excessive.

We finally got to Sundown at the Granada for brunch last Saturday. Wow. Completely impressed. I even went off my usual carnivorous ways and had the Buddha Wrap. Hubby already says we’re going back tomorrow.

Sunday Brunch, however, was a complete waste.of time and money at Acme F&B. Practically an empty restaurant and it took us 5 minutes to find someone who would seat us, the waitress gave no recommendations because she “doesn’t eat there” & the food was overcooked (which I would have told her if she’d been nice enough to check on).

Royal Thai, again after many years. Great curry.

Afrah’s, a favorite. Excellent lentil soup, Good falafel sandwich. Still looking for the best in Dallas.

Max’s wine dive. Surprisingly fabulous goat cheese omelette and fried chicken. Love the fact that they are mainstreaming sprakling wines; the grapefruit mimosas were lovely.

disappointing meatball sub from Gandalfo’s food truck. Tasteless, soggy bread (Dallas suffers from a shortage of good bread). Interesting (but flawed) experiment to use fresh tomato slices.
