Bits & Bites: Things to Do and Chew in Dallas This Weekend, January 18-20

Businesses are still feeling sleepy after New Year’s, so not too many events going on this weekend. Let’s hope some of these will keep you guys occupied. Check ‘em out.

Friday

Smoky-voiced, local artist Goga is performing live at The Renaissance Hotel at 7 p.m. tonight. This charming man can sing everything from jazz to alternative, and Asador is offering food and drink specials all night to guests.

Sea Breeze Fish Market and Grill is celebrating with whole belly clams two ways this weekend. Get them on a New England clam roll ($16.99) or a whole belly fried clam plate ($24.99) up until Sunday.

Community Beer Co., a new brewery launching on Sunday at the Design District, is showing off its Community Lager from 5 to 7 p.m. at Craft & Growler.

Saturday

The Dallas Arboretum is hosting Friendship Tea sessions at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. “Reservations are required and can be made by contacting Debbie Parker at 214.515.6511 or online at www.dallasarboretum.org. Prices are $47 per person, or $57 including Champagne and include admission, parking, taxes and gratuity.”

Sunday

Be Raw Food and Juice is hosting Raw Food 101 from 5 to 7 p.m. for any of you guys interested in switching to a raw food diet. Instructors will teach you how 5 quick and easy raw food recipes. Cost is $40 per person, and it includes dinner. Email paula@berawfoodandjuice.com.
