The opportunities to show off your oh-so-clever DIY costume or seduce the crowd with your garbage-man-gone-sexy uniform are endless. It seems every bar in town is hosting a Halloween bash. Here’s a list of everything we know so far. Updates are constant.

Sambuca
2012 Top Rung Halloween Party
This society-hosted event promises lots of costumes, a photo booth, tunes by Emerald City and DJ Jen Miller, cocktails, appetizers, and net proceeds for Pathways, a life coaching training and lecture program.

Oak Lawn Halloween Block Party 2012
Party on the Block

If you’re into costumes, this is your scene. (Does nearly 3,000 confirmed attendees on Facebook tell you anything?) On the fenced-off 3900 block of Cedar Springs you’ll find the most elaborate outfits in the city. Enjoy a Costume Promenade, booths with music, food, beer, and cocktails, DJs spinning tunes, and festive fun until 2 a.m.

Candleroom
Halloween British Invasion Mischief Night
In collaborating with Timothy Oulton and Modern Luxury, this British themed bash, hosted by Englishman Mark Stafford, boasts costume contests, drink specials, raffle prices, and tunes by DJ Rob Vaughan.

Elm Street Bar
2nd Annual Halloween Bash
Costumes are encouraged, and the drinks are cheap. Enjoy $2 wells until 11 p.m. and $2 frozen margaritas all night long. Cash and prizes will be awarded to first-, second-, and third-place costume wearers.

Swallow Lounge
Masquerade of Miracles! Cancer Benefit
The Waltzing Martini is hosting this charity-infused Halloween shindig. All profits will be donated to local families battling cancer. Bring a mask and/or your favorite costume. There will be drink specials, live music by Beryl Court, Slumberbuzz, Siberian Traps, and Year of the Bear, go-go dancers, palm readers, raffles, giveaways, and contest prizes.

Beauty Bar
Glamorama Saturday Spooktacular
Be prepared to dance, Beauty Bar warns. The costumed and noncostumed are welcome to get on the dance floor for Halloween dance party songs.

Ku De Ta
Ku’s Monster Mash Halloween Bash
Grab a complimentary Stoli cocktail from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., and take your shot at winning some of the $2,000 cash that’s up for grabs in the costume contest.

Zouk
Maxim Masquerade Halloween Been
This repeat Halloween bash is one of 15 countrywide Maxim-sponsored parties. To be expected, you’ll find sexy (read: barely there) Halloween costumes and lots of masks, as the year’s theme is Masquerade. Most naked, we mean, best costumed lady will take home $1,000 in cash. Tunes will be spun by DJ Rush, Alfredo Molina, Mishal Nalik, and Ando.
Time: 10 p.m.
RSVP: $25 to $700 tickets

The Ginger Man
Halloween Party
Ginger Man’s keepin’ it simple. Bring your costume, have a few beers, enjoy live tunes, and maybe you’ll win a best costume prize.

The Old Monk
The Old Monk’s Halloween Bash
Bring your best costume. There is money to be won. A DJ starts at 9 p.m. and four cash prizes, ranging from $100 to $200, will be handed out during the evening. Nearly identical parties can be found on McKinney Avenue at Idle Rich, Renfield’s, and Black Friar.

Halloween Spectacular
This spooky shindig includes costumes contest with massive prizes (up to $500), multiple DJs and VIP table options.

Ward 8
This lounge promises to be an “asylum for the insane.” That covers just about everyone on Halloween, I think. Come for a handcrafted cocktail or two, or reserve bottle service.

Black Swan Saloon
3rd Annual Black Swan Saloon Bash
The Deep Ellum watering hole is calling this party “sketchy.” Patrons are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters from SNL, MAD TV, and In Living Color. If you have other costume plans, come as you are. Prizes are up for grabs.

Sissy’s Southern Kitchen & Bar
Halloween Hoedown
This country fried party encourages attendees to come in hillbilly costumes and ready for $7 Stillhouse Moonshine cocktails, costume prizes, and tunes by Dovtail’s White Lightening Quartet at 7 p.m.

Dallas Halloween Pub Crawl
Starting at Trophy Room, bounce your way around McKinney Avenue’s best loved bars and find specially priced drinks ($2 domestic drafts, $3 domestic bottles, and $4 wells) and a big, costumed crowd.

Beauty Bar
Do The D.A.N.C.E.: Justice After Party
According to the folks at Beauty Bar, “It’s going to be an audio, video, disco kind of night.” Sounds fun. Enjoy getting down to music by DJ Red Eye and DJ Sober.

The People’s Last Stand
Happening Tuesday, October 30
Susie O of SusieDrinksDallas.com is playing hostess to this pre-All Hallows’ Eve fest full of complimentary bites, a “cauldron” of cocktails, live movie, and classic slasher movies on tap. You can also enjoy a fortune teller and prizes for best costumes. You’ll get two complimentary drink tickets if you find Susie O upon arrival.
