Our party of 8 was there for Restaurant Week and the waiter continuously pushed items from the regular menu. When taking our order, he completely missed a person in our group. When the food finally showed, it wasn’t correct. The steak was tough and over cooked as was the veal. I wish I had something nice to say. http://www.mozzco.com Paula Lambert Fabulous dinner tonight at Stephan Pyles. The Restaurant Week menu has three choices for each course. All were creative and delicious. Wonderful service. Our waiter suggested very good and reasonably priced wines. Great evening! I will definitely return to Stephan Pyles. Jim Went to Central 214 Friday night. Great service, meal, and drinks. First time there and our server was very attentive never had to wait on a drink or any thing. The Food was great as I opted to spend and extra $8 on the goat ribs (worth it) but that was made up with $7 cocktail special that were also very tasty. Highly recommend and I have a feeling we will be back. Feels like a hidden gem since its in the Palomar. Wine pairing option for $20 was done by some in our party and well worth it as the pours are generous. basil corso I had dinner at Charlie Palmer restaurant on Friday evening. It was fabulous, from the greeting at the door, to the servers, wine guy, and the food. Their specialty cocktial was delicious, I think it was called Appariento. The place was bustling and the variety of food was excellent and the server Sean was very thorough. Lastly, the manager in the red pants was very gracious, he seemed asian in origin. Keiko Flores We dined at Stephen Pyles last night Peter along with management team, breadman and others orchestrated the timing perfectly and made sure each time everything is satisfactory and asked if we had any questions. In the rain, even valet service was outstanding. I was impressed with the creativity of every dish with Texas/southwest in mind. Manager Michael Bracher said they always use local ingredients. Really different level of experience. amateur Four of us dined at Abacus last night and had a wonderful meal and experience. The restaurant week menu has MANY choices. You chose one small plate and one large plate and then got a sampling of desserts. My husband had the crispy roasted duck and the carnitas taco. I had the hanger steak and the buffalo potstickers. Every single thing on our plates was wonderful. All four of us had the wine pairings which were tasty and very reasonably priced. The restaurant was packed and their ability to manage this situation was admirable. Service was smooth and organized. Chef Kent was very visible throughout the evening making sure diners were happy. We have always felt that Abacus does restaurant week better than any other restaurant in Dallas and once again, it’s true. Kent Rathbun embraces restaurant week, and “showcases the menu” as he explained when he stopped by our table. We would highly recommend Abacus for restaurant week as well as other weeks:) amateur Four of us ate at Fearings on Thursday night and were disappointed. The RW menu was very small (2 choices for first course, 2 choices for second choice and a combo dessert). In addition there were 8-10 up charge choices. Even Dean’s tortilla soup was an up charge! Service seemed to be temporary help. They couldn’t find either of the wines we ordered and had to bring the wine list back to the table to have us tell them the bin number. There is absolutely nothing on this menu for a person who likes to eat healthy. It is all heavy and/or fried. We won’t be back for restaurant week or otherwise…. Jack Had dinner at Chamberlains WOW what a night. we had the kobe empanadas they were so good, also the chard romaine and shrimp salad was outstanding. i know some one in our party had the chilled melon soup with crab meat and said it was very tasty. We went for the specialty course of smoked shrimp quinoa cake that was very different but very good. for entree the kobe flat iron with porchini butter was out of this world, the salmon with soba noodles very good, and the pork chop was huge with shiner bock gravy. but i think the star of the meal was the wild mushroom ragout wow that was very good, topped with prime rib. i glad we got to try everything on the menu we passed our plates around to taste everything. for desserts they had a chocolate and peanut butter turnover wow wow wow this thing was soo good i had a hard time letting anyone else try it. we ask to buy another one and they said no problem, the peach cobbler was very good too. thanks for a great night guys we will be back.
