Somebody Help This Poor Boy: Chicken and Waffles in Dallas

He’s cold, lonely, and hungry. He wants the comfort of a plate of chicken and waffles. Hear him whine.

I miss Roscoe’s in LA. Is there any place in Dallas that serves chicken and waffles like those?

I tried to convince him to come over to my house for dinner, but he plays for the other team.

  1. It isn’t the exact style he is looking for (i.e. on the bone), but Hattie’s dishes up some killer Chicken & Waffles @ Sunday Brunch.

  2. Whenever they re-open (soon?), The Place at Perry’s has fantastic C&W on their brunch menu.

  3. I’m sure there are good ones in Dallas, but as a last resort, Houston is closer than LA… Check out Breakfast Klub in Houston.

  4. Big Mamma’s is no fuss, greasy and delicious style.

while the others, sadly, are hip and trendy chicken and waffles. but jonathan’s is pretty good, so is victor tango’s. company cafe’s is total shit.

  5. I miss Roscoe’s too. Personally, the fried liver&Onions w/ the magma hot brown gravy was more addicting than the chicken and waffles. But then it was usually at 3am. However, Good 2 Go Taco has the “Hotlanta” taco that strangely satisfies a chicken and waffles craving.

  6. I agree with Monica. Breakfast Klub in Houston is closer to Roscoe’s. The others atleast the ones I have tried are not like Roscoe’s. Jonothans good but it’s a chicken breast.

  7. Jonathon’s in Oak Cliff is the best breakfast fare I’ve had in AGES! Amazing Chicken and waffles but get some biscuits and gravy for the table to share, Heaven!

  8. Crossroads Diner on Walnut Hill – wasn’t yet on the menu, just request – FABULOUS!
