Things To Eat and Drink In Dallas This Week

Hi here, Dishers. I’ll be writing a weekly round up of events that involve eating and drinking around town as a supplement to my daily Things To Do posts over on FrontBurner. You might see some crossover; I’ll also be updating this post throughout the week. If you have any food-related things you feel I’m missing or that are happening in the future, please email them to events@dmagazine.com for consideration. Please note that I do my best to get all the wine and beer dinners on our calendar, but think about the number of restaurants in Dallas. Then think about me, one lone human being. We’re working on the events robot prototype— until then, here I am.

Monday (9/12)

Lips of Faith Beer Dinner at the Meddlesome Moth. It’s sold out, but if you call, they’ll put your name on the waiting list. When I gave a knowledgeable friend the beers, he immediately asked me to go and steal him bottles of the La Folie.

Half-price food at Barcadia

Dollar taco night at Lee Harveys

Tuesday (9/13)

Half price food at The Libertine (godspeed), J. Blacks, and Vickery Park

Wednesday (9/14)

Half price food at the Meridian Room, though the last time I went, it was not actually half price at all.

Brewtopia, and the Central Market beer sale. Events vary by store, but if you enjoy beer and like keeping it your fridge, stock up.  Discounts usually range between 10-25 percent off, depending on how much you spend.

Thursday (9/15)

“Biscuits for Boobies” Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure fundraiser at Norma’s. Proceeds from every order of biscuits and gravy will be donated.

Addison Oktoberfest. You know what to do.

Grapefest, which is about the only acceptable reason to ever get sloshed in Grapevine that doesn’t involve a private domicile or a boat.

Sassicaia Wine Dinner at Nosh.

Chef’s Night Out cooking class at Duo with Matt McCallister, formerly of Stephan Pyles.

Friday (9/16)

Chocolate Walk in downtown Carrollton. It’s also a shopping event, as most of the stores will be having some kind of sale as well as plying you with chocolate and maybe booze.

Addison Oktoberfest.

Saturday (9/17)

Slow Food Challenge at the Urban Acres farm store. If you’re looking for a ridiculously cheap, farm-fresh meal, you’ve found it.

Big D Pub Crawl. One of the “stops” is a trolley filled with free Bud Light.

Addison Oktoberfest.

Sunday (9/18)

Addison Oktoberfest. The last day.
