Brews News—American Craft Beer Week Approaches

This just in from The Brewers Association:

For the first time in its six year history, American Craft Beer Week will see official events hosted in all 50 states, making it the largest-ever celebration of U.S. craft brewers. From May 16-22, new beer lovers and seasoned enthusiasts will raise glasses of their favorite IPA, amber, stout—or anything in-between—to honor the more than 1,700 small and independent craft brewers responsible for the vibrant American craft beer scene.

Locally, Libertine is getting in the act with their American Craft Beer Dinner on Wednesday May 25 at 7pm. For just $50 per person you can enjoy five seasonal courses prepared by head chef Taylor McCreary paired with five American craft beers to celebrate American Craft Beer Week.

Reservations are required. Call 214-824-7900.

  2. Just a light amount of research uncovers that all area Ginger Man Pubs are doing a special release every night. The Ft. Worth, Dallas and Plano locations all have different releases every day. Check their website for what’s on tap.

Plano’s location is doing a Dogfish Head tasting on 5 beers lagered specifically for their event on the 19th, by RSVP only.

Also, The Holy Grail Pub in Plano is doing a special every day, including some rare releases as well. Those details are on their Facebook page.
