On March 11th Nancy Nichols wrote that Vijay Sadhu was revamping the menu at Sutra to reflect more mainstream tastes. That prompted commenters to urge him to at least keep the creative stuff available as specials. Judging from tonight’s specials (see picture below) he is doing just that. I popped in for lunch and can recommend the fish curry on the lunch menu. The fish fillet in the center of the sauce has a sharp, crisp skin, reflecting the fact that it is added just before serving to prevent it from getting soggy. The whole thing is a glorious combination of contrasting textures and complex resolved flavors. There is no place else in town doing stuff like this.
