Chef Tim Love’s Third Love Shack Opens This Friday in Denton

So, it’s not much closer to our offices than the Fort Worth locations are, but those lucky dogs in Denton sure have something to cheer about. The burgers-and-live-music formula that made Chef Tim Love’s Fort Worth Love Shacks a success is bound to show well in this newest location.

“I’m beyond thrilled to be opening in Denton,” says Love. “I’m just a few miles from the house I grew up in, and I have a ton of family and friends in the area, so to be able to bring a Love Shack here is a dream come true.”

The joint will fit 120 people indoors and outdoors and has a stage for live music, natch. Love will serve classics like the Love Burger and the famous Dirty Love Burger, as well as hot dogs, house-made sausages, hand-cut fries, and onion rings. Non-beef burger offerings include the Classic Yard Bird (Love’s take on a classic grilled chicken sandwich), the Gobbler (a turkey-cheddar burger), the Boom Boom (a lightly battered and fried Portobello sandwich), and a classic Grilled Cheese.

Don’t miss out on Love’s celebrated Lonesome Dove Pork green chili, grilled pickles (which this reporter got to sample at the Barbados Food & Wine and Rum Festival), house rootbeer, jalapeno cucumber margarita, and daily milkshake special, with flavors such as Chocolate Mint, Heath Bar Crunch, Strawberry, and Mocha.

  1. there was talk some time ago about putting one in Victory Park, but like so much there, the plans fell through. Would “Love” to see one in Dallas, though.

  2. Why does Tim hate Dallas? Let me guess Tim, your next location will be in Southlake?
