Food Feedback Friday

I’m sure most of you have been hunkered down and eating at home, but we’d love to hear from those of you who have braved the weather to dine out  If so, tell us the “wheres” and “whats” of you dining experiences. Here’s what you reported last week.

  1. Nancy, I had a fabulous liquid lunch at Fearing’s on Wed. Where were you? The bar-b-que shrimp taco was an excellent side dish.

  4. Forgot to mention this on last week’s Food Feedback Friday but had lunch at Dive Coastal in Snider Plaza. Delicious. It needs to be re-reviewed by D soon because I don’t think the last one does any justice to the food I tasted last week.

  5. Dinner at Smoke this week. It was good, but I don’t get why La Brenner gushes over it.

  6. Thursday – dinner at Maurizio’s in Coppell. Excellent smoked tomato soup and spicy frutti di mare. Really hit the spot on a cold evening.

  7. Dinner at The Mercury. Wonderful Diver scallops and the service was perfect.

Dinner at Cafe Amore, Plano location. Despite sharing ownership with the Richardson location they just can’t get it right. I don’t know what it is.

  9. Haven’t left the house for three days; had homemade chili onw night; and sausage jambalaya one night. Ummm, good, and warm and cozy. Can’t wait to try Komali soon.

  10. Gourmet Tuna Casserole at Chez Cassi since I’m too scared to venture out. No school, no work no food service. But I’m dreaming of crab dip at Zanata from last week.

  11. Lunch at Lockhart Smokehouse today. Had the shoulder clod, pork chop, and regular sausage. The Kreuz’s sausage was just as excellent as expected, as was the pork chop. The flavor on the clod was outstanding but it had a few large hunks of fat (more than normal) and it looked like it could have smoked longer and rendered more. Overall – we’ll be back and we’re very excited to have Lockhart caliber BBQ in Dallas.

  12. We tried both lunch and dinner at the new Zanata in old town Plano. LOVE THIS PLACE. It’s exactly what our part of town has been longing for.

  13. Elevation Burger — decent burger and milkshake. But the grease from the french fries is gross, gross, gross. It saturates the restaurant and permeates — thickly — out into the parking lot.

  14. I second Zanata. We went there on Friday and despite the weather it was busy. I had the Duck Confit which was delicious. My wife had the Salmon which was cooked to perfection. We will probably go again this weekend.
