Bella Restaurant & Bar Owners Clear Out Under Cover of Night

A relative of a D staffer with first-hand knowledge of the goings-on at the newly closed Bella Restaurant & Bar in Uptown let us in on an interesting tidbit: turns out that Bella’s owners not only ceased operations last Thursday night, but also ransacked the place in a dark-of-the-night flee, making off with tables, chairs, walk-in coolers, ovens, and cook tops. Need we also point out that they bailed on their lease?

At least they appropriated some booze from behind the bar on their way out. That should help with any pesky remorse that might pop up.

  1. Bella Restaurant and Bar, Go Fish Ocean Club and, Dr. Bell’s BBQ.
The Dallas restaurant scene “shakeout” continues……
    Next?

  2. Thank you for continuing to report on restaurant business failures. The “build it and they will come” mentality poisons the water for those who are truly professionals in the hospitality business and not disingenuous showmen or opportunistic hucksters. It’s a business after all, not a high school popularity contest, and as such requires a solid business plan, operating capital (read as “staying power”), competitive assessment, etc.

  3. Done I think the report keyed more to the fact these two thiefs gutted the restaurant and skipped town. I’m sure the landlord is the victim not there business plan.

And Snoope I agree that Tin Star was good….
