As hundreds of hungry (and eventually stuffed) guests can attest, it wasn’t all gingham and grilled meat at last nights Friends of the Dallas Farmers Market Hoedown where Dallas’ top chefs turned out to serve signature favorites and debut new experiments. So…. was it open to the public or not? Could I have purchased tickets yesterday and still have had them at will call? Who do you have to be to get “invited”? How can I get in on this a little earlier next year? I wish I had known.
Scott, Sorry you missed the event. We posted about it http://sidedish.wpengine.com/2010/09/29/dallas-farmers-market-friends-throws-a-hoedown/ back in September and the event has been listed on our events calendar on the SideDish site for almost two months. If you would like to get in on it earlier, you could join the Farmers Market Friends. They would love to have a new member.
You can also join the Farmers Market Friends group on Facebook…they do a good job of promoting their events through social networking.
