Burgers and Burgandy Benefitting DIFFA Rocks at The House by Philippe Starck

Last Friday night, 11 celebrity chefs joined organizer John (DRG) Tesar at the Burgers and Burgundy event benefiting DIFFA. They chose The House in Victory Park by Philippe Starck for the event. (This may be the coolest high-rise in downtown Dallas.) The walls are white museum the rooftop deck has infinity pool! The goal of the evening: 12 celebrated chefs got a chance to render the humble burger in a way that represented the very best of their culinary art.

In this video the chefs describe their interpretation of the burger mandate and John Tesar describes the cause behind the event.

Merging care and commerce, supporters of DIFFA come from all fields of fine design and the visual arts, including: architecture, fashion design, interior design, photography and consumer product design.”

With its white museum walls The House by Philippe Starck did not want to seem elitist, so they have a special room for white trash.

  1. Seriously poor and drunken camera work. Were you trying to make out with the cooks? And wtf is cusscuss?

  2. Please note that they are not trying to exclude any white trash as they have included labelling in Braille!!

  3. Great video, Mr. Chalk. And happily, no sign of Jack “the jerk” Perkins. Not that he would be able to contribute anything nearly that creative, anyway.
