Wednesday is Awash in Wine Events

Prepare to reel in tipsy delight Wednesday, Oct 13 as Napa Valley vintners from Turnbull Cellars, Krupp Brothers, and Honig Vineyards pop up all over town.  Check out these four oenophilic options:

Option #1:  Meet the vintners from 5:30-7:30 at all three locations of Centennial Fine Wines & Spirits. 6805 West Northwest Highway (Turnbull Cellars), 8123 Preston Road (Krupp Brothers Estates), 15055 Inwood Road (Honig Vineyards). Free

Option #2: Head over to the Frontiers of Flight Museum for the Angels & Aces March of Dimes Signature Chefs of Dallas Event from 6-8 p.m. At $300 a head it’s not cheap, but those three Cs will get you 20 chef’s dishes (prepared by Kent Rathbun and 19 other top Dallas chefs) and Napa Valley wine pairings. Call 972-232-1355 for tickets.

Option #3: Make tracks to to Abacus Restaurant on McKinney for the Keenan, La Sirena, and ZD Wine Dinner. ($160/person plus tax and gratuity) where vintners from Keenan Winery, La Sirena, and ZD Wines join guests for a (less extravagant?) Kent Rathbun meal. Call 214-520-0151 for a reservation.

Option #4: Reserve a spot at The Place at Perry’s for the Peju Wine Dinner with Herta Peju — a multi-course dinner featuring Peju Province wines, including the 2009 “Pink” (a special wine whose proceeds go in part to support breast cancer research and awareness.) (7 p.m.; $85/person plus tax and gratuity) Call 214-871-9991 for a reservation.
