Ever the innovator, Alberto Lombardi will strike Dallas again with another restaurant concept. According to his PR rep Bill Armstrong, Mr. Lombardi’s newest spot will open in March 2011 near the fountain in Highland Park Village. Hmm. Could this be the current Who’s Who Hamburger spot? [Update: Nope. Empty Talbot's space.] Here’s what Mr. Bill sez:
Inside, the restaurant will seat forty-five guests and a newly designed outside patio will seat thirty. The concept is still being finalized but will specialize in Mediterranean cuisine in an urban casual environment. The name is also still to be finalized.
Also a quick update on La Fiorentina, Lombardi’s new Tuscan steakhouse going into the old Chip’s building on Cole—they are looking at a late October opening.

@Sammy…try the Chip’s that is still open on Lovers Lane at the Tollway.
@cobra….there’s no connection between Lombardi and Geronimo’s.
Let’s hope it is not a repeat of Pesca. BTW, what happening to his restaurant that was supposed to open in Las Colinas?
@bradt…i guess I should have been more clear…i realize lombardi has nothing to do with geronimo’s. This post reminded me that I read last week about geronimo’s coming to hpv. I thought it was interesting that nobody from sidedish had brought this up.
That’s too bad. I thought Highland park Village was getting a Mercury/Citizen restaurant. Maybe one day soon we can have this restaurant south of Northwest highway.
Good Italian in HPV would be great since Partizio’s was McDonaldified.
