I know we’ve touched on where to eat pancakes in Dallas, but this girl wants more.
Nancy, I searched SideDish to find the best places to eat breakfast in Dallas and came up with a bunch of pancake places but I have relatives coming to town and they love breakfast. They eat a big one and then have a small meal again around 5:00 in the afternoon. They will be here for TWO WEEKS so I’d like to take them out as much as possible. Price point is no option.
She’s loaded! Where shall we send them?

In celebration of the fact that summer has officially arrived — though I’m not so sure any of us really want to celebrate 100 degree days — Natsumi on Henderson Avenue is offering $1 small cups of gelato and frozen yogurt through this Thursday. Might as well get sweet and sticky instead of sweaty.
In March, Robert Willonsky reported Kenny and Ziggy’s, the popular NYC-style deli in Houston, was looking into opening a Dallas location. A couple of days ago, a friend of mine ate an eight-inch corned beef on rye at the very crowded restaurant at the Galleria in Houston. As he was leaving he asked one of the managers when they planned to open in Dallas. The guy, Andy, had this to say: “They [the owners] want to be up there [Dallas], but they sure are proud of real-estate prices.”
Andrew Chalk, our sometimes man on the street, files this report.
3 Comments »I found this last night on the door of Manna Indian Restaurant, which is located at the northeastern corner of Spring Creek Parkway and Coit Road in Plano. I don’t know what happened behind the scenes but this place seemed to have a regular clientele and I had several good meals there.
