Let Them Eat Coffee Cake for Christmas Morning:Ham I Am

Kiwi garnish is so '90s.

Full disclosure: I am a big fan of Ham I Am. I send their hickory-smoked peppered ham to friends at Christmas and Thanksgiving. I always have a pack of peppered bacon (with a hint of brown sugar) in my freezer (makes a bitchin’ BLT). Last year I tried Ham I Am’s cinnamon walnut coffee cake along with the peppered bacon and my mother’s egg casserole. Corner Bakery also makes a great coffee cake. Anybody else out there got a favorite? BTW, you still have time to order ham or bacon or coffee cake from Ham I Am. Don’t forget the Hogwash. 972-447-0440.

  1. I guess my hickory-smoked peppered ham is still in transit. Never got the one you sent me for Thanksgiving, though.

  2. Central Market makes a good one too, but Casa Linda Bakery’s is my hands-down favorite.

  3. I send a 1/2 Honeybaked ham to friends in California every year. Honeybaked, albeit more expensive than other hams, is still the best out there.
Personally, I wouldn’t buy any other.

  5. Thanks, Nancy. I’ll ask the one of the staff if they had it for dinner.
