Somebody Help This Poor Boyfriend: Apple Cider Mills

ciderWell, I could  tell her to look here and here. Perhaps someone out there has a first-hand experience to share.

My boyfriend is from Michigan and really misses fall in his hometown. He keeps talking about all the fall festivities such as apple cider mills, pumpkin patches, hayrides, and corn mazes. Do or any of your Side Dish readers know of any cider mills around Dallas? I’m willing to drive a little outside the city.

Well you could at least give the Dallas Arboretum a look. No cider mills, but do offer some Fall Festiveness

Look man, I’ve tried to find cider mills in town. There are none. I had a friend from Vermont who was sentimental like your bf. The closest is in new braunfals.

Good luck to you dude in your quest to find a cider mill for yourboyfreind.

They don’t exist here… That’s like trying to find Tex-Mex in Detroit!

Sometimes you can go to Central Market at 4pm and they’ll put out a fresh pitcher of apple cider, made fresh from a factory far outside of town. Just throw on a straw hat and bingo you’re in Vermont.

Walking in the Whole Foods on Lomo Alto, there’s a sign in the produce department: “Fresh Apple Cider”.

I’m a little late – mills are probably slowing down for the season, but maybe not that far south.

    Good luck!
