Guessing Games: Identify This Chicken Fried Steak

You guys aren't even CLOSE.
You guys aren’t even CLOSE.

Okay, Dishers. Some of you are getting closer to naming the restaurant where this chicken fried steak is served. Currently, the initial post has 56 comments. Remember, the 67th commenter on any post wins a place at the table for a group dinner at The Grape. SO, do you want me to reveal this restaurant now or would you like to try a few more times. (PLEASE don’t run up the score, I can see you from the back end)

I’ll give you another clue: the Great Scott did not have it on his list. We are starting here at 56. Next comment is 57 and so forth. GO.

  • JoeB

Actually, GJ guessed correctly on your original post, Nancy.

  • luniz

Joe is right. And you gotta tell us it’s only one guess per guesser ahead of time!

  • GJ

Hey Nancy I’m calling a foul. I submitted the correct answer yesterday at 6:11 PM. Recently you called me a “Peach”…now I don’t want to enter into a name calling contest so I am very anxious to hear how you explain this one away. Please respond. Thanks.

  • Lori

I live in Ponder and I always order the salad when I’m there. This place is so overrated.

  • Nancy Nichols

I guess (PLEASE don’t run up the score, I can see you from the back end)wasn’t clear enough. I guess I expected you to remember what happened last time when Brian Luscher ran up the comments trying to hit 67. So I am a loser.

Sander, by the time I posted an updated account, more comments came in so I had to recount and change. SOrry, I guess this is a stupid idea (cue: BillUSA99).

I checked the comments last night and posted at 6:11. I didn’t see GJ’s comment because we posted at the same time. This morning I started a new list. SO, Peach Melba Cobbler, GJ…I will award a seat you and Shelbyg75 at the table to you. Is that fair. For technically the “game” should have stopped with the correct answer and the prize goes to comment #67. Luniz, if you are unhappy, we can talk.

  • Nancy Nichols

    Lori,
I was disappointed in the CFS and the fact that the steaks aren’t pan fried. The rolls are not made in house and the pies were only fair. I whipped the baked potato until it was mashed and added gravy and pepper to make my own mashed potatoes and that was the best part for me.

  • Lori

Folks, don’t fall for the hype. They are nice folks but the food is just OK, and be nice to Mr. Ross, his wife just passed away.

  • shelbyg75

    Yippee.. Thanks Uncle Nancy :)

  • luniz

oh, I could care less about free dinner (unless you’re joining), but it’s fun to guess! Believe it or not it was enough motivation for me to reread Scott’s entire opus.
