Trouble With Twisted Vine In Dallas, Ctd.

Last week we reported a Disher’s experience with Twisted Vine. A comment just popped up in the old post:

I too got my certificate for a free wine tasting for me and my closest 30 friends at a charity auction. When we all showed up the doors were locked and there was know one there. The business card was posted in the window so we called and Jo told us we were down as a cancellation and that they had been trying to contact me all week…(none of which is true)and I was charged $250. I see now that I should have done more research before giving anyone my credit card number. STAY FAR AWAY FROM TWISTED VINE!!!!DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CC #

I just called and the lady who answered the phone told me they are still open but they are “not open during the day.” Curious.

Nancy, does their explanation remind you of the catfish fingers w/green goddess dressing left in your car for 4 days?

Reminds me more like dog crap left in your car during the summer for 4 days.

If you look up Twisted Vine on the TABC website they do not have a valid license to buy or sell wine. I would recommend going to legitimate businesses only.

this palce is amazing…although it has been done before, surely an expose is warranted here. I always welcome the other side to the story before I make my final conclusion (even after being burned myself).

Any chance of this happening here…or should we just leave the hard hitting stuff up to the folks at the O or Fox 4(said with two snaps and a barrel full of sarcasm)?

Just an FYI — I got my money back from Visa. Others might be able to do the same depending on your card. I just filed a complaint online and got my money credited back within a couple of days.

I’ve been trying to reschedule a wine tasting for about six weeks now and I’m worried about them charging my credit card, too, because they haven’t responded to the three emails, two phone calls and one registered letter that I sent. I even went by there the other day and they were closed – another poster noted they were closed during the day – so called them again, but the voice mail was full and couldn’t accept anymore messages. How can anyone run a business this way?

Im out $260 for a case of wine that i never received and sadly paid with a check leaving me even more out of pocket. Stay far away! I cant believe these guys haven’t been shut down yet!

  • Really...

We were scheduled to have a party at the Twisted Vine with family and friends a few weeks back. The day of the party they left us a voice-mail canceling our reservations and a very short “sorry”, and would call us first thing Monday morning to reschedule. I’m still waiting for the call… I would NOT recommend them.
