  1. pick me pick me! I was the first to comment.. I think…. and I need a break after getting up for work at 3:45 am the past two days ;)

  2. I read this fabulous book when it was FIRST published and have been waiting since then to see it on the big screen! Couldn’t have cast it better, myself! I will be anxiously waiting to see if I get to “relive” this experience through the movie AND Julie Powell’s retelling! Do you hear my need to be there?!?

  3. I tried to make beef bourguignon this week, and it didn’t turn out the way I’d hoped. I really could use some pointers.

  4. PuhlEeeeEeze pick me. I don’t know anything about Julia and I need to start learning

  5. pick me…me, me, me!!! Dmagazine is the best city magazine, SideDish is the best magazine blog, and Nancy Nichols is the best food blog writer ever. (Sorry Margie) :-)~

and my brulee propane torch even!

  7. my daughter is 10 years old and im a chef, her name is julia. she wants to see the movie and i would like to take her.pick us

  8. My sister loves to cook. She tries recipes from all kinds of cookbooks. Jenn told me about this movie this weekend and showed me the cookbook Julie used to test Julia’s recipes. Jenn of course has made items from her Julia Child cookbook. She is 8 months pregnant, so I would LOVE to surprise her with a girl’s night to enjoy a movie about her passion for cooking. P.S. as her sis, I am one of her best tasters. :)

  9. I am loyal and devoted follower of Sidedish!! I can watch and review/report back!! Pretty Please!!?? I won’t even try to sneak booze into the movie this time!!

  10. You’re not only beautiful, but a powerful woman. I could see the second you walked in here, you were someone to reckon with…

(With apologies to Larry Miller as Mr. Hollister)

  11. When is the lecture? If it is also at 7:00 pm but at the DMA, then I assume it is not also on July 27, the night of the screening.

  12. Sorry for the confusion. Movie is Monday, lecture is Wed
