Ready, Set, Dial: Restaurant Week Reservations Are A Reality

rw1Today is July 13 and we all know what that means! The phone lines are open and it’s time to make reservations for KRLD Restaurant Month Week. The three-course pix fixe dinners ($35) start the week of August 17-23rd. Some restaurants go through August 30th while others stretch their offerings until September 6th. Then of course, there is KRLD Restaurant Week “Preview” (August 14-16) where for $5 more, you get a 10 Cane rum or Grand Marnier “fun summer drink.” All of the details are here.

Am I the only person who is over Restaurant Week? Dont get me wrong, I am all for the concept of trying restaurants for charity but I just dont think its worth it. I have been to lots restaurants over the years during this time and you get 2nd rate food (compared to the regular menu) as well as 3rd rate service. Last year I got sneered at by a waiter when I informed them I was there for restaurant week! I would rather donate to charity on my own, save up for awhile, and enjoy a lot of these restaurants on my own
