eat quickly - the staff goes on yearly summer vacation soon (maybe July 13?) and the place shuts down for a week or so.

El Jordan will transport anyone raised in Dallas during the 50's 60's and 70's back in tastebud time to the very best of their Tex-Mex memories. All the food is prepared to order by the owners - whose recipes are pure old fashioned Dallas style Tex-Mex. But why am I telling you this? I hate it when my favorite places are "discovered". Well, litte to worry, they're located in Oak Cliff and not open for dinner, so how often will the trend setters be headed south of the Big Ditch for lunch....

El Jordan's the best. Very solid breakfast.

Also, the chicken and cheese empanadas at Espumoso are worth the trip back when they're open. Wow.
