She claims Zense Thai is a “gem tucked away in a Valley Ranch strip shopping center.” She thinks it’s a chain but she doesn’t care because “the service isn’t brilliant but the food is.” E tu? (Buddhalicious? I don’t know about that.)

“Buddhalicious.” Almost as offensive in its ignorance as the Happy Buddha Japanese Steak House in Houston.

Same Americanized menu as the rest. I would say Jasmine Thai in Plano, Bankok Orchid in Irving and Royal Thai in Dallas would be the best in D/FW area. All of them have some authentic dishes hidden away on the menu or even a separate Thai menu. Have we all gone awry lately that everyone needs to have pad thai noodles, massaman curry or spring rolls? Lets be adventurous and demand better than that. There are more dishes in the Thai cuisine than the select 20 or so that we are offered all around town.
The Thai people from what I have met locally are very friendly people and even more so if you like to try their native foods. I have had the pleasure of having many meals at Jasmine Thai in Plano ordering some authentic dishes. The waitstaff love to recommend more authentic dishes if you just ask.

You sure are adventurous, Shane, dismissing Zense Thai without even eating there.

100% agree…except about the chain part (if true, please let me know where others are). Zense is a hidden gem with great food and wonderful staff.
@Shane…don’t disagree, but in order to stay in business you need to sell what sells. I agree that you should ask for off menu dishes, but I am not offended when they are not offered.
