New Summer Drinks at Bread Winners

I’m nursing a nice sunburn today. Seriously, it hurts to type. What I need is a nice frozen libation to soothe my lobster-red spirit. And just like manna from heaven, I get an email from Bread Winners. They’re debuting two new frozen drinks: a frozen cherry limeade (made with 3 Olives cherry vodka and limeade) and a frozen Jack and Coke. Both are served soft-serve style. The popular Uptown cafe and bakery also just opened the rooftop bar at its adjoining The Quarter Bar. All of that sounds mighty refreshing. Just don’t forget the sunscreen. Trust me.

    Dear Bread Winners,
I have one piece of constructive criticism regarding your place: PLEASE get some nicer servers. If you had some, you would be my (and many others) go-to spot.

I cannot tell you how many times I am CRAVING your fabulous food for brunch, lunch and dinner yet someone in party (or me) remembers how rude the server was “the last time I was there”. It’s consistent. I visit your place with friends, who like to eat, drink and LOVE your food, yet the servers are just not friendly and in some instances are downright mean.

It happens more often than not.

All your servers have to do is be nice and professional and not treat me as if they’re just biding their time in the waitstaff job while they’re waiting for something better to land in they’re lap. I’m dying to dine there soon I just don’t want to leave feeling like I’m a part of the Madoff family. I’m an easy guest, I tip well and I LOVE your food.

Please give me a reason to come back!!!! (the drinks sound AWESOME).

I know you’re busy and you do very well. Perhaps hospitable servers aren’t a priority?

    I’m askin……

So the roof top bar is now Uptown Bakery? I love drinking a cold one up there during the afternoons when it is not 200 degrees. Will I still be able to do that>

I have to agree with “bueller” on this one. I stopped going to Breadwinner’s in Inwood Village for this very same reason.
I used to eat breakfast there regularly. Early enough in the day when there would only be about a dozen customers in the restaurant. Half the time the server would get my order wrong or, the cooks would screw it up. Hey! It’s only, eggs!
So, I stopped going there after I discovered, “The Original House Of Pancakes”. It became my regular breakfast stop. They do, EVERYTHING right!

With as hot as it has been, the more frozen libations the better, and it is still only mid June.

Was at Uptown on Sunday. Had a fab server! Aaron I think it was. But my hubby did make a comment that he service was a refreshing change from ‘the angry lesbians’. Nothing against lezzes…. but I had to agree with him!!! IJS.

Would angry anti-men people have been more PC?
