Kavala in Oak Cliff Out of Business?

Christopher Wynn on the Eats Blog says it may be so. I called and got the machine—but they are closed on Mondays, so that isn’t conclusive. Here’s hoping the joint is just temporarily closed.

  1. It is closed – I went Saturday night and they told us as soon as we came in that they had limited food and free liquor as it was their last night to be open….no real explanation from them though.

  2. I drove by on my way home from the office — a sign on the door says “Kavala is on vacation. See you soon.” I also did note that all of the patio furniture appeared to be on the patio (albeit stacked up near the building) and the blinds around the patio are still there. I didn’t get out of the car to peer through the windows.
