Somebody Help This Poor Boy: Cabrito

A dapper dude is looking for a goaty restaurant:

The NY Times story (I love Bruni’s video reports) on goat got me wondering where to get the best cabrito in Dallas.  Any thoughts?

My first thought is El Ranchito on Jefferson. Put in your earplugs. Y’all hit it.

  3. My husband and his sister love the cabrito at El Ranchito – the whole cabrito served on the hibachi. And they do have the best corn tortillas in town!

  4. Leslie Brenner posted the same story way before you did. Do we have to answer the same question twice?

  5. Trust me. This on’es a no-brainer. The restaurants in Pleasant Grove on Lake June between Jim MIller Rd. and Buckner routinely have excellent fresh cabrito, some only on weekends but some every day. For specifics, ask because the best place’s name eludes me righ now. But trust me; PG is almost exclusively now immigrant Mexican and the food is every stripe of Mexican cuisine known to man. Or woman. Never a bad meal on the restaurant strip of Lake June!
