Ted Allen is Coming to Dallas!

This just in from CopyAndPaste News:

What could be better than spending a casual afternoon in Dallas learning all about food, wine and entertaining with a real expert?  Local Dallasites now have the opportunity to meet with Food Network Personality Ted Allen, who will serve as the “teacher” of this experience, adding the icing to this already sweet cake.

Ted, who is the host of Food Network’s popular series Food Detectives and Chopped, is launching an exciting online contest beginning April 8, 2009, which is one month prior to his May 8 visit and will encourage consumers to open up about their food and wine questions!   Along with a panel of judges, Ted will go through contestants’ submitted foodie questions and choose five of the most deserving individuals plus a guest to participate in a private food and wine seminar.  Ted will engage the small group, with his effortless charm, in an open Q&A forum to break down just how simple it is to impress others in the kitchen. Ted will be in town for his role with the Robert Mondavi Discover Wine tour, at Taste Addison.

What’s the pulse of the blog readers on Food Detective and Chopped? I do not care for the shows, or the host.

Ted Allen is the best! I went to this Robert Mondavi event last year and learned a great deal. I only hope he has more delicious recipes for me to learn!
