Don’t forget to tune in to “Classic Café” on WRR (101.1fm) everyday this week from 11am to 1pm. Not only will you get an inside look at One Arts Plaza, each day you can listen to a riveting interview with a chef from one of the restaurants in the complex. Today, I talk with Screen Door’s execuchef, Fitzgerald Dodd (left). (And we make blackened scallops.)
You’ve got to be kidding — you’re really going to “cook” on the radio Nancy?
Surely you heard about the time Mario Batali cooked 10 lobes of grade a fois gras with 5 lbs. of kobe beef sauteed in truffled saffron oil on KROC while Howard Stern provided sound effects in the background. Mario even went so far as to fake choking on his “plate of food” on the air since it was “so delicious”.
Yes I cooked on the radio and we have the video to prove it. Coming soon.
Ok NN — I believe you of course.
Just tell chef Dowd to use lots and lots and lots of descriptive words as we listen to you guys “cook on the radio”.
