Re: Chef John Tesar Has Left the Mansion

Christopher Wynn over on the DMN’s Eats blog says chef Tesar will make an announcement on Tuesday about his new gig. Over at Pegasus, Teresa Gubbins links to The Brad, who is apparently a friend of Tesar’s. Apparently, these two had an off the record conversation, but he implies that Tesar plans to stay in Dallas and open his own place.

Remind me to never have an off the record conversation with “The Brad.”

I hope Nancy and D will check the email addresses of the commenters here because the posts by “truth” and “j man” among others sound a little fishy. I wonder how the James Beard people feel about this for one of its self proclaimed nominees?

    Jacquie

bet your a publicist or something. or a republican who want to have only there opinions told and censor others
I am a friend as stated and I tell the story as I know it trust me I am who i say i am. why do you seem so paranoid? and whats with James Beard?
why do any of these comments bother you unless your trying to spin the truth.
what’s the matter never had a good friend to stand up for you ? not to mention the first ammendement

Truth sure does have a lot to say. Leave us your name big boy. Don’t be so scared.

  • Jokester

Truth is very defensive, more than just standing up for a friend. Maybe Truth=Tesar???? ;-)

FYI, folks. I have no way of tracing e-mail addresses. They can be made up as easily as a name.

  • RB

what about tracing ip addresses? (note: i am not an IT person. at all.)

It’s ironic that those who complain about the anonymity of blog posts are hiding behind that very anonymity. Tru dat.

For the record, I am sure that I am not John Tesar. let’s get that straight. By the way I am a woman!

However I am a Chef and close friend of his.
I have several friends that work at the Mansion and the story I tell is the one I have heard from kitchen personal and severs. The comments made by random names in direct response,to my story seem to be coming from a PR source trying to guide you away from my story.or discredit John as a random blogger.
I am not Tesar I am me so get over it. I will tell you my name and where i work if you all do the same ok !

I love you Truth. Hi, my name is Nancy and I am a blogoholic.

Nancy…these posts demonstrate something I’ve felt for years…FOOD is an EMOTIONAL issue for many people.

No one was more excited about Tesar than me…in honor of his position at the Mansion, a friend in Sarasota sent a gift card for the Mansion. Get a babysitter, wear mascara (a lot of effort), but we went…

    My meal was absolutely okay.

Tesar was new, and I felt like I’d just finally talked to my 7th grade crush, and found out he liked boys. Yeah, it felt like that…

So, I went again on my own dime. (Repeat process with the babysitter/mascara…)

It happened again. My meal, “game” medallions was…well, it was on par with what I get at Mary’s Diner in Strawn (when they have game meat). Just. Very. There.

    Truth,

Do you really believe there is some conspiracy within the Mansion that is trying to steer everyone away? Honestly the only information I have heard about his departure has been on this blog. I appreciate the information you have provided and if its truly valid, thank you for the insight. I have enjoyed John’s food and I hope he sticks around, but in fairness, I haven’t heard the restaurant being critical of him. I really hope both groups move on and both are successful. Thanks
