Industry Bar Closed

Several Dishers reported that the Industry Bar in North Dallas closed suddenly. I’ve called the last three nights and nobody answers the phone. E-mails to the manager haven’t been reurned. Rumor is the (former) current owners were using the old owners liquor license and somebody blew the whistle on them.

UPDATE: Readers sez Industry Bar is closed for remodeling. Wish they would answer the phone.

I could never figure out what Industry that bar was catering to. I always assumed however, they thought it sounded cool so why not go with it.

They are remodeling for a week and re-opening for their anniversary party.

This is the email I received from them:

We will be shut down for the next week for construction and remodeling.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Get ready for our one year anniversary January 29th, 2009.
With $3 U-CALL-ITS and $5 BOMBS it doesn’t get much better!

I talked with the previous owners and the reason they were shut down was because they stopped paying their mixed beverage taxes and were not meeting their obligation as far as paying for the bar that the previous owners financed to them.

I am a bar manager in a high volume bar in addison and word of mouth floated to me from several other managers in the area that Industry is indeed closed due to a severe TABC violation. They are required to complete certain requirements to reopen, but have not as of yet completed them. By law they have 30 days to complete them or they are not eligible to retain their current license.

Not sure if your still reading this blog but after reading all the comments not one of them had one ounce of truth to them.. On a good note though Industry Bar was opened back up Wed. March 4th come by and see us drink specials all weekend and the same great staff…..
