Somebody Help This Poor Girl

You can tell the weather has turned–this chick is looking for lasagna. (In all the wrong places if ya ask me.) Hear her roar:

I promise not to be as picky as our favorite vase lady, but I really need some good lasagna. So far, leads include Terrelli’s and Pietro’s, but I’m thinking Patrizio’s might be worth a shot too. Any Dishers have advice?

Ah, the vase lady. Wonder what ever happened to her? I love Jimmy’s meatball lasagna for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

    Eatzi’s

Try Angelo’s in Lakewood. The lasagna is to die for!

  • whoknew

Is there such a thing as bad lasagna? I too used to love Patrizio’s Vegetable Lasagna until it was sold to Mcdonalds…. Pregos has a very good traditional style.

i dig the lasagna at Two guys From Italy at Webbs Chapel/Forest.

Angelo’s Lakewood has played host to many seeking solace in pasta of all kinds. The lasagna has to have at least 20 layers, and scrumptious cheeses. Some drink to forget, and others eat lasagna.

We do a pretty nice lasagna bolognese at Campania Southlake. It’s made with bechamel and bolognese sauce – no ricotta.

Scalini’s in Lakewood & Aboca’s in Richardson are both very good. Although a chain, Carrabba’s lasagna is not bad.

Penne Pasta in Snyder Plaza has good lasagna — and the secret they don’t put on the menu is you can ask for a half-order.

Amore in Snider Plaza also has good lasagna that you can get as a half order.

We have a Beef Tenderloin Lasagna on our new Lunch menu at Sevy’s Grill. “Layers of seasoned beef tenderloin, ricotta, mozzarella, spinach and button mushrooms with tomato cream sauce and garlic toast”. IJS, Amy S.

Love Taverna’s version with a classic bechamel

Alfonso’s in East Dallas. It’s even won awards for its lasagna.

If you can’t get to the Little Italy section of NYC, then here’s another vote for Aboca’s in Richardson.

Two Guys From Italy, Webb’s Chapel near Forest Lane. Cheap, tacky and delicious. Like blind dates used to be. Beyond that yes, Jimmy’s and Alfonso’s.

Alfredo’s at Trinity Mills & Marsh is great! It’s a hole in the wall in a strip center…I get delivery so often they bring me pictures of their kids!

Adelmo’s on Knox makes the best in town. The combination of cheese, sausage and tomato cream sauce is magnificent.

  • TGS

Ferrari’s in Addison makes an excellent lasagna.

I agree with whoknew – Patrizio’s used to have good lasagna until it was sold. Now all of the food is bad. Thanks for nothing, Ed Bailey. Campisi’s lasagna isn’t bad in a pinch.

  • TheKid

I am not kidding, but the Loon has a nice lasagna.

  • foodczar

Cafe Amore in Richardson and Plano has very good lasagna. In fact, all of the food I’ve tried there has been quite good AND affordable.

  • katie

Patrizio’s spinach and mushroom lasagna is great.

There is a little place called italia village on spring creek and coit in plano, some old italian and greek guy owns it and he has fantastic cheap lasagna and all sorts of other things

I second Alfonso’s. Well, at least their veggie lasagna, which is the only kind I have had there. I love it because it has red sauce instead of white (which what most veggie lasagnas are made with). Plus I they have great minestrone and garlic rolls!! Oooh, I could seriously live on those garlic rolls…

  • MamaMia

Pietro’s is as authentic as you get…or just come to my house. Scilian style Paul DiCarlos meatballs are great at jimmy’s!

  • gammypie

The lasagna at Adelmo’s is fab!
