Several wineries have a shpping cart on their websites. For example, see the shopping facility on the Llano Estacado Winery's website at:

Click on the type of wine on the left side of the page.

This is great! Also note: The owners of the boutique wineries Siduri & Novy out of Santa Rosa Calif come from the Ennis, Texas i believe and their operations manager is the former Steele wine guru Jody O'brien. We have good stuff going on here in the wine industry god knows we have plenty of history!

Great story, Julie! Question: Do you have to go to the wineries (or order online from them) to get these fine wines, or do you know if some of our local purveyors like Central Market carry them as well?

The Texas High Plains has all of the "elements" to be the next fine wine grape producing regions with a real Texas Terrior. Who'd a thunk it!

You would be suprised how plentiful limestone (the delight of grape grower and fine wine drinkers) is all around the state. After all, Texas used to be at the bottom of an ancient mid-land sea with lots of calcium producing critters.
