Wine and Philosophy

You’re so vain, you probably think this post is about you. Sorry, couldn’t stop myself. Incoming news: Park Cities Prime will host its first “Wine and Philosophy Hour” on Wednesday, September 17, from 6 - 8:00 p.m. Any of you out there remember the Montaigne Club, the now-closed members-only spot in Uptown that doubled as a philosophy club? You can read about it here. Then you can head to PCP to hear North Lake College professor Paul Hunter’s discussion centered around Michel de Montaigne’s “Of Vanity”. Professor Hunter held regular philosophical discussions at the Montaigne Club from 1993 until 2004. This will be the first of a series of such discussions. There is no fee for participation and Park Cities Prime will be offering wine and drink specials. 8411 Preston at Northwest Highway. 214-691-7763. BYOMirror.
