In the spirit of what's best in Dallas, maybe(and I'm just spit balling here), just maybe the event planners at D should think about supporting locally owned spots next year? I've been there for various dinners, where food and drinks orders were wrong, tabs were overcharged, and various general service mistakes were made. Now, I'm curious...with the Best of Big D party there just last week, is that similar to featuring a chef or restaurant in an upcoming or current issue, then a departure or closing shortly after???
