A Delicious White Pizza Just for Me

If you find yourself in the mood for a fancy pizza pie this weekend, stop into Coal Vines and check out the white special pizza. I tried it the other night and I was in a cheesy version of heaven. It’s thin crust with mozzarella, Parmesan and huge globs of ricotta, topped off with slices of fresh tomato and fresh garlic.  So yummy! Plus, it’s perfect if you’re like me and prefer your pizza without the red sauce. Friends say I’m weird, but I prefer to think of myself as quirky. Sidebar-It’s hard to find a good white pizza in this town. Oh well, happy eating!

Add fresh basil to it and it’s heavenly

Doesn’t even come close to the Straight Pie at Fireside Pies. All of their pies are tasty even with out the yummy roasted pie sauce. Ifratelli’s is my 2nd favorite. I do like the wine selection at Coal Vines though.

This is the kind I get, but I add meat to it. Yum, yum!

Well, sheeet… this thing keeps all my info from my last post, doesn’t it.

One of the Cardinal Rules in Italy is to NEVER put Parmigiano with Mozzarella. The strength of the Parmigiano overpowers the delicacy of the Mozzarella.

And Italians treat garlic as a *subtle* flavor element, not a topping.

    I’m just saying…

Petty Coalvines has such a crappy waiting list policy. The slimy maitre’d ignores the average joe’s on the list and drools all over the “ghostbar guido’s”. Too bad, as the pies are actually decent enough. My wife and I will only order take out from them, lot’s of other great piza options with much better service.
