What was Rick Stein’s? Honestly, I have no idea how restaurants plan to make it when they never advertise.

My husband and I frequented Rick Stein’s and will GREATLY miss it! If you were unfortunate enough to be one who never tried it, you seriously missed out! There is no place in Dallas that could meet the food and service found at this restaurant. Rick is a charming fella, I’m VERY sad that he had to close his restaurant. We’ll miss the great steaks, calamari and to-die-for creamed spinach…oh and the after-dinner “flu shots”. Rick, we love you dearly and wish you the very best! It’s sad that you had to close your doors because of the state of our economy.

We lose to many great independents (while the chains march on). Rick’s was a treasure anda true representation of the kind of great place where the owner puts his name on it and his life into it. Losses like his leave us with just more of the “same old” when what we need is Rik’s.

Rick Stein is a friend of mine. I work for the IndyCar Series, and the past 2 years when we have been in Texas for the race at TMS, a group of us dined at Rick’s Steakhouse. And EVERY one of us said that’s it’s one of the best meals that we ever ate! As was said above, Rick’s place was a treasure. Rick loves his work, and making people laugh. He is one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. I hear there’s a chance that the business may re-open. For the people in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area…and especially for Rick and his family…I hope that happens…and soon!

One of the high points during our week was to head over to Rick’s and enjoy the great food, wonderful music and special time with Rick. He always made you feel like the most important person in the room and was genuinely thrilled to see you. Rick is one in a million and Rick Stein’s will be greatly missed.

HO NO! Rick has been one of the best people our family knows and I’m so sorry to see this happen. We loved the rack of lamb (none better in the world!). Without a doubt, Rick’s was the best in every way. The staff, atmosphere and food were always great. I’ll miss seeing Danny (AKA “The Best Bartender in Texas”) and Brie was our favorite wait staff. It took us 5 minutes of stuttering around before we could break the news to our 3 kids. One said it best, “In the end times, things get worse… and this is the worst!”.
Rick, we love you and will pray for you and the family.
