Have a Drink, Win a Trip

The Warwick Melrose Hotel really, really wants you to come to the Library Bar. This summer they are offering all kinds of specials (free calamari, lowered drink prices), as well as the chance to win a trip to Denver, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, or um, Dallas. Winners get free air fare on Southwest, two nights in the Warwick Hotel in that city, and two tickets to a baseball game (four tix in Dallas, plus a limo ride).

Basically, the deal is, you go to the bar (starting tomorrow) and you sign up to win a trip. No purchase required, but come on, it’s a pretty cool place to hang out. On the next five Wednesday evenings at 9pm, a drawing will take place and a winner will be chosen. You don’t even have to be there.

The catch is, you can only sign up for one trip per visit to the bar, so you’re going to have to get there five separate times if you want a chance to win all five trips. Jump for dates and the rest of the info.

DALLAS (July 14, 2008) – The terms “high balls” and “cool pitchers” take on a whole new meaning this summer, as the Library Bar offers the opportunity to win one of five “bases-loaded” baseball getaway weekends. This chance to “have a ball” is part of the ongoing celebration marking the re-opening of one of Dallas’ long-time favorite social club lounges.

Imagine being there in person for one of the last games to be played in Yankee Stadium…doing the seventh-inning stretch in Seattle…catching the defending National League champions on their home turf in Denver…or watching the batters swing for McCovey Cove in San Francisco. The Library Bar, located in the historic Warwick Melrose Hotel, will book your reservations and send you on your way with prize packages that include:

• round-trip airfare for two on Southwest Airlines to the destination city (Long Island, NY; San Francisco; Denver or Seattle)

• a two-night stay at a luxury Warwick International Hotel located in each city

• two tickets to catch a game featuring the local major league baseball team: the New York Yankees, San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies or Seattle Mariners

The getaway weekends will be culminated with a “stay-vacation” given away right here at the Warwick Melrose Dallas, which includes a two night stay the weekend of September 5, four tickets to the September 6 Rangers game and limo transportation to and from the game.

Beginning July 16, stop in to the Library Bar (open at 2 p.m. daily) to enter to win one of the five trips. (No purchase is necessary.) Drawings will be held weekly beginning on Wednesday evening at 9 p.m., July 23, with the winner receiving the first of the five trips. Drawings will be held at the same time on July 30, August 6, August 13 and August 20. Winners do not need to be present to win. One entry is allowed per address, and after each drawing, all entries will be “struck out,” so you must come back to The Library Bar to enter for each remaining getaway.
